Our Philosophy

Language grows through doing, making, and imagining, never through drill.

At BolBol School, we believe a second mother tongue is a gift for life. Our approach is research-based and child-centred, drawing on the Montessori and Waldorf traditions and on modern findings about how children's brains learn language.

Three pillars

  • Modern relevance: We connect Persian language and culture to children's lives here and now, in Switzerland. Tradition meets the modern world in every lesson.
  • Complete autonomy: As an independent, non-profit organisation we are politically and religiously neutral. Our only agenda is the joy of language and culture.
  • Interactive learning: Music, movement, storytelling, and the visual arts are not extras; they are how we teach. Children sing, build, dance, and play their way into Farsi.

Learning that counts

Our curriculum is carefully aligned with the internationally respected HSK framework. BolBol School holds official HSK/LCO status in Zurich, Bern, and Geneva, so your child's progress can be integrated into their official Swiss public school report card.

The whole child

From a toddler's first Persian lullaby to a teenager analysing classical poetry, each programme meets children where they are: small groups, teachers who know every child by name, and a pace set by curiosity rather than pressure.
