Visiting the website

Our website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. When you open a page, the server records technical data such as your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser type in a log file. These logs serve only to keep the site secure and running and are kept for a limited time.

The site sets a single technical cookie: a session cookie that protects our forms against misuse and keeps the administrators logged in. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser. We use no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.

Class registration

When you register for a class, we store the data you enter: the name, email address, phone number and postal address of the parent or guardian, an emergency contact with phone number, the name, date of birth and Farsi level of each participant, how you heard about us, and any notes you add. If you tell us about allergies or medical conditions of a participant, we store them too. This is health data: we use it only to keep the participant safe in class and share it only with the teacher. We use the registration data to process the registration, run the class, issue invoices and contact you about the class. The data is stored in our database on Infomaniak servers in Switzerland and is accessible only to the school's administration.

Emails about your registration are sent through Infomaniak's mail servers. Each registration has a personal link with a random code that shows its status and documents. Treat it like a password and do not share it.

We keep registration data as long as it is needed for the class and for information about the following school year. Invoices and the data needed for them are kept for ten years, as required by Swiss accounting law. After that, the data is deleted.

Event reservations

When you reserve places for a celebration, we store your name, email address, the number of adults and children, the amount to pay, whether you chose a reduced contribution, any donation and your notes. We use this data to manage the guest list, receive your payment and contact you about the event. Reservations are kept until the end of the following school year, the payment data for ten years as required by Swiss accounting law.

Contact

When you contact us by email or phone, we use your details to answer your request. The contact details on this website are shown only after a spam-protection check.

Third-party services

  • Google reCAPTCHA protects the registration form, the contact details and the admin login against automated abuse. When you open these pages, your browser sends data such as your IP address and browser information to Google. Google may process this data outside Switzerland, including in the USA.
  • Google Maps is embedded on the locations page and on the registration status page. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google, which may set cookies and collect usage data.
  • Google Fonts provides the typefaces of this website. Your browser downloads them from Google servers and transmits your IP address in the process.

For all three, the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. Our Instagram page is linked only, nothing from Instagram is embedded here.

Photos

Photos of classes and events are published with the consent of the people shown or their parents. If you appear in a photo and would like it removed, contact us and we will take it down.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing, as far as no legal retention duty applies. Use the contact details above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
